These terms set out the agreement between you and Hartwen when you buy from hartwen.com. Please read them before placing an order. By completing a purchase, you accept them.

This website is operated by Hartwen. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Hartwen. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to place an order with us.

Products and Descriptions

We describe our products as accurately as we can, including dimensions, materials, and the size of dog each item is made for. Colours can appear differently from screen to screen, and measurements may vary slightly between production batches.

Our products are accessories for comfort and everyday use. They are not safety restraints, and we make no claim that they protect a dog in a collision.

Pricing

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Shipping is free on all UK orders. We may change prices at any time, but a change will never affect an order you have already placed.

If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of a technical error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will always contact you first.

Orders and Acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Our acceptance happens when we send you a dispatch confirmation, and that is when the contract between us is formed. We may decline an order if the item is unavailable, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if we suspect fraud.

Payment

Your payment is authorised in full when you place your order and collected before your order is dispatched. Details of the methods we accept are in our Payment Policy.

Delivery

Delivery timings, costs, and the countries we ship to are set out in our Shipping Policy. Timings are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees.

Returns and Cancellation

Your right to return or cancel is set out in our Refund & Return Policy, which offers 30 days in addition to your statutory rights.

Intellectual Property

All text, photography, and design on this site belong to Hartwen or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them commercially without our written consent.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, and not to interfere with its normal operation.

Our Liability

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not liable for business losses.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected.

Events Outside Our Control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including postal disruption, customs delays, extreme weather, or industrial action. If such an event occurs, we will contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
